Keynote by Mary Gordon: “Cultivating Empathy in Children” This session will discuss why empathy is needed now more than ever in society and the pivotal role that Early Childhood Educators play in its cultivation.
  • Why empathy is crucial in our post-covid world” by Firki, Teach for India. August 21, 2020, 6.00 to 7.00 pm. IST (8.30 to 9.30 am EST). Mary Gordon, Founder and President of Roots of Empathy, will describe the history, the scaling and the research on the Roots of Empathy program which is operational in 14 countries. Narrative, video and children’s art will be used to explain how this school-based initiative has captured the attention of neuroscientists around the world.
